On Aging

The problem with aging is not that it's one damn thing after another--it's every damn thing, all at once, all the time.
(Borrowed shamelessly from John Scalzi in his "Old Man's War," this seems all too true at times for both my own John and me. This is one of those times. Will readily agree that this state is preferred to the possible alternative of not having the privilege and pleasure to be alive!) ~carol
